Results In Brief

Objective
To study if Project B Hydrolyzed Biomarine Collagen Peptide 5,000mg can contribute to a noticeably increment in collagen density, reduces wrinkles & dark spots, increase skin moisture level & elasticity, even skin tone and promote brighter complexion
Methods & Assessments
The volunteers are gathered over the period of 6 months post-formulation study, and every volunteers' progress are monitored over the period of 2 months.
Subject information:
Of all the 48 volunteers, they are healthy individuals with no past medical history, with a relatively sedentary 9-5 job and once to twice a week exercise.

Subject testing: qualify user experience and product usability
Design:
Volunteers are gathered, inclusion criteria includes age ranges from 30 to 50, healthy individuals with no past medical history. Volunteers are being advised to comply with the recommended regime,
"Age 30 to 50: Take two tablespoon once daily for the first 14 days. Continue supplementation of one tablespoon once daily as maintenance. "
Volunteers are advised to visit our studies centre to measure the results on specified intervals and the outcomes are recorded.
Results
Discussion
Overall outcome: collagen density increase from 11% to 79%, skin moisture increase from 32% to 86%, skin elasticity improves from 42% to 82%, reduction of wrinkles from 65% to 38%, reduction of dark spots from 55% to 44%, overall facial skin tone has decreased by 3 tones. The data presented are of satisfactory.
In the 2 months treatment, the most significant improvement is seen to be the increase in collagen density (+68%), which is said to be directly related to the collagen restoration from the regular collagen supplementation. The data is presented in such a way where the most drastic increment is seen to be from day 10 to 14, where volunteers are instructed to take double dose during the initiation of treatment to effectively restore the loss collagen over the first 14 days. After day 14, over the maintenance dose, it is seen to have a steady increase of collagen density, which is believed to be the result of effective collagen production or remodelling of collagen stimulated by the fibroblasts cells.
In addition to the great increase in collagen density, the skin moisture (+54%) and skin elasticity (+40%) are seen to have a significant impact. It follows the similar trend, where most increment is observed from day 10 to day 14 when double dose are administered, and plateau over the maintenance dose. This is a result of effective delivery system that enable the micromolecules penetration of both oil and water, making the micromolecules able to reach the skin's surface and the skin cell membrane, affecting skin cells inside out. The tested product contains over 200 nutritional components; including sialic acid, epidermal growth factor, proanthocyanidins and aloin, each work synergistically to carry out their function in restoring and maintaining the skin age.
Reduction in wrinkles (-27%) and dark spots (-11%) are seen to have a less significant improvement over the 2 months treatment. Regardless, there is a positive correlation to the decrease in wrinkles and dark spots over time. Having said that, a longer treatment duration, up to 6 months, is required to witness an obvious effect. Alongside, volunteers have consistently reported to have a more even skin tone with brighter complexion after 2 months of product consumption (-3 skin tone fairer). The tested product is packed with powerful antioxidants, 445 times more potent than that of vitamin C, which can effectively combat oxidative stress and free radicals damage. The key ingredients also work in repairing sun-damaged skin, decreasing enzymes that promote pigmentation and providing photoprotective effect from UV radiation.
